Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.

Horizon 2020 is open to everyone, with a simple structure that reduces red tape and time so participants can focus on what is really important. This approach makes sure new projects get off the ground quickly – and achieve results faster.

Regulatory advice is crucial for every health-related project and of a particular importance in EU projects. Regulations have a big impact on the daily life of the average consumer through the food we eat, the medicines we take, and the medical devices we use.

Obelis strongly believes that overseeing and following a clear regulatory path is critical for making that link between research, development and the actual product on the market. Neither science and technology nor the market can be left to operate on their own without regulatory guidance and regulatory expertise – especially nowadays where more and more complex products are increasingly appearing.

Challenges:

  • From “Research & Development” to “Product on the market”
  • Regulations/EU policies mindset – pass the message to the scientific world Research of information
  • Implementation of financial rules
  • Financial management
